Built to watch. Nothing else.

No uploading, no channel setup, no notifications about things you didn't ask for.

A feed that's actually yours

Pick your interests once, and the more you watch, the sharper your Home feed gets.

Shorts, the way they're meant to be

Full-screen, swipeable, one after another — no scrolling through a grid first.

Search that finds the right thing

Real results, real thumbnails, real channels — not a guess.

Dark by default

Easy on the eyes, day or night — because that's how most people actually watch.

Picks up where you left off

Watch history and watch-later, saved locally on your own PC.

One app, always open

Lives in your taskbar like any other app — no tab to lose in a pile of twenty others.

Two short ads, then it's all watching.

YouTubePC is free, and that's how it stays that way. Every time you open the app fresh — not while you're already using it, just on launch — you'll see two quick ads before your feed loads. Close the app and reopen it, and it happens again; stay open, and it won't bother you at all. No ads pop up mid-video, no interruptions while you're actually watching.

Questions people ask

Is YouTubePC free to download?

Yes, completely free. It's supported by two short ads when you launch the app — nothing during playback.

Do I need a YouTube or Google account?

No. You can browse and watch without signing in. The local sign-in just saves your feed preferences and history on your own PC.

Does it work on Windows 11 and Windows 10?

Yes, both are supported.

Can I upload videos or create a channel?

No — YouTubePC is watch-only by design. No uploading, no channel setup, no comments. Just Home, Shorts, and search.

Is it safe to install?

Yes. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning since the app is new and not yet code-signed — that's normal for independent apps. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to continue.

How is this different from just using YouTube in a browser?

It's its own app, not a tab you'll lose among twenty others — and the feed adjusts to what you actually watch from the first video.
